This updated plastic bracket replaces the original clear plastic bracket that was used by Kirsch brand pleated, cellular, and honeycomb shades. Kirsch no longer uses the original clear plastic bracket, and it is no longer manufactured.

The updated bracket is a replacement for the original brackets. The measurements and look of the updated bracket vary from the originals, but the new bracket does replace the Kirsch original brackets.

The updated bracket has different screw mounting hole locations than the obsolete Kirsch bracket and does not have the angular mounting holes along the back corner of the bracket. If your old brackets used those angular holes due to a small clearance or other reason, you may have to move the bracket’s mounting location and drill new holes.

The mounting hole locations in the updated bracket do not match the mounting hole locations in the obsolete brackets. You will most likely have to drill new holes.

The pictures of the original bracket are for comparison only. They are not available for purchase.

Note: It is best to replace all of the brackets on a single shade to make mounting it easier.

Window coverings that use a standard operating lift cord system pose a strangulation hazard to children.

  • Limiting access to the cord or bead chain loops is a simple way to make these window coverings safer for kids.

  • Cords should be made as short as possible.
  • Keep all cords separate, putting only one cord in each tassel.
  • If your window covering uses cord condensers, install them within 3” of the cord lock.
  • Install cord cleats at least 5 feet above the ground, and wrap your cords around them every time you raise and lower your window covering.
  • Install safety washers to prevent hazardous loops from forming on blinds with accessible inner cords.
  • Replace cord tilt mechanisms with wand tilt mechanisms.

  • It is safest to replace corded window coverings with cordless ones with inaccessible cords (look for the “Best for Kids” certification label) or remove them altogether.

  • Move all cribs, beds, furniture, and toys away from corded window coverings, especially in bedrooms and sleeping areas.
