How to Adjust the Tension on a Vertiglide Vertical Cellular Shade

Introduction

Sometimes your Vertiglide cellular shade may not stack or stay in place correctly when attempting to close. Most of the time, the tensioner needs a simple adjustment. These instructions illustrate how to adjust the tensioner in your shade to fix this problem.

Tools Needed

None

Parts Needed

Vertiglide Cord Tensioner

Step 1 – To adjust the tensioner, slide the tensioner an inch or two past the point of feeling the spring engage.

The hooks on the top of the clips will snap onto the headrail.

Step 2 – Test the shade to be sure it stays opened and closed properly.

If the shade requires more or less tension, the tensioner can be moved accordingly.
