How to Remove a Cord Lock Cover on a Hunter Douglas Shade

Introduction

The cord lock and covers that are used for Hunter Douglas and other blind manufacturers sometimes have to be removed when completing a repair. These instructions explain how to remove the cord lock cover for this specific cord lock.

Step 1 – To remove the cover, snap the rear off by lifting it up slightly.

Step 2 – To replace the cover, fit the front of the cover over the lock first, and then snap the rear of the cover on.

Step 3 – The same technique can be used for both the new and old style cord lock covers. The older style cover is pictured on the left. The newer style is pictured on the right.
