Hunter Douglas Low Profile Cord Tilter for Horizontal Blinds - Updated Style
Product ID: 5538 SKU: TILTER-040
This tilter replaces a discontinued cord tilt mechanism that is no longer manufactured and is not available for purchase.
This is an updated restyled cord tilt mechanism. It has a light gray plastic body. While the original and replacement mechanisms do look different, the replacement style is compatible with your blind.
This tilter has a foot that fits into a 3/4" headrail punch. The punch is the rectangular cut out where the strings of the tilt mechanism stick through the bottom of the headrail.
Gray plastic with an attached white cord that drops three feet.
Tassels for the ends of the cords are sold separately here.
Sold individually.

- Limiting access to cords is a simple way to make these window coverings safer for kids.
- Replace cord tilt mechanisms with wand tilt mechanisms.
- Cords should be made as short as possible.
- Keep all cords separate, putting only one cord in each tassel.
- Install cord cleats at least 5 feet above the ground, and wrap your tilt cords around them every time you tilt your blinds open and closed.
- It is safest to replace corded window coverings with cordless ones with inaccessible cords (look for the “Best for Kids” certification label) or remove them altogether.
- Move all cribs, beds, furniture, and toys away from corded window coverings, especially in bedrooms and sleeping areas.
