Because of this, it is important to make sure that you get the correct size string when replacing the string on your window covering. Step 1 – Wrap your string around a pencil ten times.
- Wrap your string around a pencil ten times, and squeeze the strands together.
- If you don’t have a pencil, you can use a pen, marker, water bottle or any other uniformly round item.
Step 2 – Make sure the string is wrapped around exactly ten times.
Step 3 – Measure the width of the wrapped strands.
