How to Thread a Cord Lock in Delmar, Kirsch, or Levolor Shade

Step 1 – Remove the insert from the cord lock cover.
- Once the lock is removed from the shade, rotate the circular lock insert until the key shaft lines up. Then you can remove the insert from the cord lock cover.
Step 2 – Insert the strings into the top slot of the lock cover, and set aside.
Step 3 – Bend the wire restring tool into a “J” shape and insert it between the rollers on the cord lock.
Step 4 – Place the strings that were threaded through the cover through the eye of the tool, and pull them through the cord lock.
Step 5 – Thread the string through the bottom of the cord lock cover.
Step 6 – Place the circular lock insert into the cover by lining up the key shaft and pushing them together.
- Turn the insert until strings come out of the bottom.
